Ophelia's First Hike in Washington

Her first hike. Our little baby Aussie is growing up.

Not only was this a rejuvenating experience for her, it was for us too. Quarantine has been a little rough y’all. I’m a homebody at heart, but there’s only so much sitting in front of a computer I can take until I CRAVE wide open spaces. Queue the Dixie Chicks.

For her first hiking experience, AND our first hike since quarantine began, we traveled to one of my absolute favorite hikes in Washington State. Complete with a ridge trail, plenty of wildlife sightings, and 360 degree panoramic views, this hike is a stunner in rain, sun, and snow.

We took the hike with our best friend Chad, and the sun filtered in and out before giving way to Washington’s natural cloud-soaked moody state.
