Lighter colors will look best here to let the wildflowers really have their moment! I suggest a neutral palette (white and off-whites, baby blues, earthy yellows, etc.). Shoe choices will be up to you - you’ll be walking in loose grass. I suggest tennis shoes, sandals, or going barefoot for photos!

Posing - I can help guide you into the best poses for photos. Once there, take a deep breath and relax and move, talk, and interact with each other as normal. You can forget I’m there!

Prompts and Candid - You might hear me say ‘wrap into each other and walk towards me’ or ‘pull her into you by grabbing her chin’. If you don’t like posing, this is the style for you.

My camera shutter is silent, so it will be easy to get comfortable with less pressure of the shutter sounds. We’ll just enjoy the wildflower field and sink in the scenery.

Rain or shine! The best photos will be on a partly to mostly cloudy day. Some clouds in the sky are essential to the coloring and lighting achieved in the photos on this page.

It’s important to practice leave no trace when doing photographs to help preserve these places and keep coming back year after year! I would like to keep these sessions simple - no large backdrops or props that could impact the environment. We’ll keep to the paths between the flowers and be careful not to disturb the flowers.

I will have your photos ready about 2 weeks after your session! Your photos will come in a beautiful, hand-crafted online gallery where you can download and share your photos from.

This location would be perfect for a little date day! Grab a coffee and pastry beforehand, then head over to photos. Or plan to head out for brunch or ice cream after photos.

Ideas to bring - a little charcuterie picnic here would be cute for photos, some sparkling wine, or bring your own Polaroid for extra cute candid moments.

The wildflowers are only in bloom for a short amount of time, so this spot is a bumble bee haven! Please note that you will likely see bees on the lupine, and to be mentally prepared to keep calm and carry on.
